The Youth Initiative is PIVRA's platform for youth-led work. It gives young people a structured way to organize and lead activities under PIVRA's institutional mandate, from an online community to internships.
The Youth Initiative coordinates the institute's youth-led work. It is distinct from PIVRA's Learning & Professional Development programme: the focus here is on young people themselves taking part, organizing, and leading, consistent with PIVRA's wider commitment to strengthening civic and analytical capacity among Pakistan's youth.
Activities under the Youth Initiative are announced on this page as they are confirmed.
Two initiatives, with more to follow.
Youth Club is the Youth Initiative's online community for young people who want to be better informed and more involved. It runs on PIVRA's digital channels and is open to anyone who wants to take part.
The Club focuses on youth empowerment and advocacy: building awareness of the issues that affect young people, developing the skills to engage with them, and giving members space to join discussions, campaigns, and activities. The aim is straightforward, to help members become more aware, more active, more engaged, and more empowered.
A national cohort of 120+ interns from across Pakistan and AJK, planned and delivered by the youth team, now underway for 2026.

The Human Rights Internship is the Youth Initiative's largest undertaking yet: a national cohort spanning human rights and justice, advocacy and civic engagement, youth leadership, research and policy, and professional skills — and now open to speakers, mentors, and partner organizations from Pakistan and abroad.
