Compliance standards your team can rely on
Clear rules that keep every commissioned engagement clean, documented and independent, consistent with the compliance expectations of international investors and funders.
The rules that govern every engagement
Anti-corruption
Our standards are aligned with the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and the UK Bribery Act. No payment, gift, hospitality or benefit is offered to any public official or any other person in connection with an engagement.
Official channels only
Contact with government bodies is limited to introductions and meetings through official channels, requested by the client, with the client present, and recorded in writing.
Conflicts of interest
Every engagement and every specialist is screened for conflicts before work begins. Where a conflict cannot be managed, we decline.
Information standards
We never solicit, receive or share material non-public information or information held under a duty of confidentiality. Serving officials are not engaged for paid consultations.
Contracting and invoicing
Every engagement is contracted in writing and invoiced by the institute through formal banking channels. No cash is accepted or paid.
Independence of published research
Commissioned work never influences the institute’s published research. Clients have no editorial control over anything the institute publishes.
