Proposal writing and M&E design

A strong proposal is built on evidence and a clear logic of change. PIVRA writes funding proposals and concept notes for NGOs and organisations, and designs the results frameworks and M&E plans that donors ask for, so your project is fundable from the start and reportable once it runs.

What you get

What we deliver

  • Grant proposals and concept notes: written to the donor's template, criteria and word limits
  • Problem analysis and evidence base: the context and data that make the case for funding
  • Theory of change and logframe: a clear chain from activities to outcomes, with assumptions and risks
  • M&E plans and indicator frameworks: SMART indicators, baselines, targets, data sources and reporting schedules
  • Donor reports and progress reports: turning your project records into reports your donor will accept
  • Review and editing of your draft: a second pair of expert eyes before you submit

Who it is for

  • NGOs and civil society organisations applying for donor or foundation funding
  • Organisations responding to a call for proposals with a tight deadline
  • Teams that need a theory of change, logframe or M&E plan for an existing project
  • Companies designing a CSR or community programme they can report on

Typical projects

  • A full proposal to an international foundation for a girls' education project
  • A concept note and budget narrative for a climate resilience call
  • A theory of change and logframe for a youth skills programme
  • An M&E plan and indicator set for a three-year NGO strategy

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can you work to a call deadline?

Yes. Send us the call or terms of reference as early as you can. Concept notes can often be turned around within one to two weeks, full proposals within two to four weeks, depending on length.

Do you guarantee that a proposal will be funded?

No one can honestly guarantee funding. We guarantee a proposal that meets the donor's requirements, makes a clear evidence-based case and is ready to submit on time.

Do you collect data for baselines or evaluations?

We design the M&E framework, indicators and tools, and work from existing data and documents. We do not carry out field data collection ourselves.

How much does a project cost?

Every project is priced on its scope, so we quote each one individually. Tell us what you need and we will send a written proposal with a fixed price or a clear budget. The proposal is free and there is no obligation.
