The National Human Rights Internship Programme is PIVRA's flagship youth undertaking for 2026, planned and delivered by the Youth Initiative. It has brought together more than 120 young people from across Pakistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir into a single national cohort, working toward a more just and inclusive Pakistan.
Through real learning, meaningful dialogue, and lasting impact, the programme gives interns a structured platform to learn, connect, and contribute to human rights, research, and social change — from their own communities to the global stage.
Every intern's work is anchored in one or more of these areas, reflecting PIVRA's institutional mandate across research, rights, and youth capacity.
Human rights bodies, youth networks, and civil society partners invited to engage the cohort through sessions, resources, or institutional collaboration.
Human rights advocates and researchers, national and international, invited to lead a guest lecture, training, or discussion with the cohort.
Practitioners open to mentorship, resource-sharing, or knowledge-exchange with interns building a career in human rights and research.
PIVRA is inviting human rights organizations, youth networks, and civil society partners from around the world to engage with our interns. Even a single virtual session with the cohort is highly valuable — we're glad to work to a format that suits your organization.
A session led by a member of your organization on a topic of your choosing.
A conversation with your advocates on current issues and professional pathways in human rights.
Educational resources, publications, or learning materials shared with our interns.
One-on-one or small-group mentorship connecting interns with practitioners in the field.
A co-hosted, youth-focused human rights session or campaign with your organization.
Broader partnership between PIVRA and your organization, beyond this cohort alone.
Tell us about your organization and the format that works best for you — we'll take it from there.
